About Emission Statement
Sam Balch, Emission Statement's founder, gives a brief history:
Will Moore has worked as a sustainability advisor for a wide range of music artists. Will helps artists and concert promoters green their tours and events through his organisation www.sustainabletouring.com. Will’s focus is on helping artists to reduce their emissions, at the same time as, helping to raise awareness around environmental issues and climate change in the music, film and media industries.
Following work greening their tours and events, Will found that his music and media clients wanted to offset their remaining emissions. He was tasked with researching an offset offering for his clients that delivered robust emissions reductions.
Will approached Directors of Carbon Clarity - Alistair Gates and myself - as he liked our open and honest approach to carbon reduction. Carbon Clarity focus on helping organisations to reduce emissions first, then provides a high quality carbon offset for any remaining emissions - ensuring both low overheads and transparency.
As a result, EmissionStatement was established, following our robust and transparent principles, and offering a Gold Standard offset in developing nations.
