Emission Statement offers a market leading offset. Its key strengths are:
1. 100% Gold Standard offsets from single projects
We ensure that you get what you pay for by avoiding a portfolio offset, where high quality offset is mixed with lower quality offset.
2. Complete transparency in pricing
We clearly breakdown our cost per tonne to show you where your money is spent.
3. Additional UK charitable benefits
We ensure that you help to tackle climate change at home as well as abroad by investing in environmental awareness and behaviour change initiatives in the UK.
4. One of lowest administrative charges in the market
We want to make sure that your money is used to reduce emissions rather than cover our administrative costs

Gold Standard Offsets
The Gold Standard is an independent, transparent, internationally recognised benchmark for ‘high quality’ carbon offset projects as validated by UNFCC (United Nations Framework for Climate Change) accredited bodies. Gold Standard is the only offset supported by Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace and WWF and only certifies projects which meet the following criteria:
- They must be energy efficiency or renewable energy projects (this includes methane to energy in certain circumstances)
- They must pass a sustainable development screen i.e. there must be evidence that the project is making a real contribution to sustainable development and that it benefits the local community;
- They must only provide an energy service that helps catalyse the transition to non-fossil fuel based energy systems.
For further information please see the Gold Standard’s website http://www.cdmgoldstandard.org/
£1 - Supports UK-based environmental charities to cut carbon by educating young people in schools, as well as, helping to raise awareness and champion action against climate change across the music industry.
Supporting UK-based environmental charitiesThe “Action at School” initiative engages students in environmental learning. Engaging younger generations in reducing their impact on climate change is vital in order to tackle climate change both now and in the future. This project helps schools save money and improves their environmental performance. Global Action Plan supports a student volunteer team, helping them measure their school’s energy use; set improvement targets and communicate this effectively. Students come up with imaginative solutions and lead the way in implementing them, gaining skills in decision-making and project management. The initiative is endorsed by the United Nations Environment Programme.
Julie’s Bicycle was established in order to tackle climate change through the music industry and to develop an action plan to cut emissions across the sector. Julie’s Bicycle will provide grants to the under resourced, smaller part of the UK music industry (including the charitable sectors) to invest in the ‘greening’ of their businesses.
£3 - Administration (circa. 14%)
This compares very favourably to most offsetting companies that charge in the region of 25% to 75% administration for their offset.
